Second event in Finnish Rally Championship series was run in Mikkeli
area which is one of the traditional winter rallies in Finland. Joonas
Tokee started the rally well as he was second in class in first stage.
But soon after that he made a small error, hit a snow bank and lost
three minutes. After that his position in SM3 class was 17th.
Since then Peugeot 208 R2 driver placed in all remaining stages in Top3.
Finally last special stage was canceled due to safety reasons so Joonas
managed to climb up to 9th before the finish.
– It was my mistake when I took a slow bend too inside and soft snow
bank sucked the car into a ditch. That was really slow off, laughed
Tokee.
– After that I tried to drive until the end fast but without mistakes.
– In sixth stage we were fastest in our class and we boarded the ninth
position. Too bad, the last stage was canceled. There would have been
good chance to rise for at least another couple of places and achieve
little more championship points, Tokee informed.
