Joonas Tokee´s season in FIA ERC Junior series is going reasonably well, but Finnish team has not yet achieved top three result.
The series continues this weekend in Liepaja, Latvia, to where Tokee traveled beginning of this week with high expectations.
– Finally we will get to drive this rally in Liepaja. Cancellation of the event was a pity in the winter, but fortunately they did find a new date in the ERC calendar. My feeling is very good before the rally, Joonas Tokee told.
– Level of competition will be once again very hard and there is a long list of drivers who can run at the top of our class.
21-year-old Peugeot 208 driver who lives in Orivesi has driven good pre-event tests with his co-driver Jani Salo. They did test both at home in Finland and also local Latvian gravel roads.
Joonas Tokee believes that local drivers will benefit a little bit when foreign drivers are driving these stages for the first time.
– Our goal is definitely to improve our latest result in Rally Estonia. I will be happy only when we are battling for podium place, Joonas decided.
